About Peggy Sensei

“Hey! Hello everyone,
I’m Peggy Sensei!”

Peggy Sensei (Tang Kei) began her career as a manga artist, journalist, and editor before working as a translator and copywriter at a Japanese advertising firm. She went on to become a Japanese language teacher, film translator, and independent media creator — a journey spanning over a decade. Her media collaborations include AM730 and KKBOX, and her film translation credits include the Rebuild of Evangelion series, Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume, and Mamoru Hosoda’s Mirai and The Boy and the Beast. She also holds certifications as an SSI International Sake Sommelier, SSI Shochu Sommelier, and SSI International Kikizake-shi.
